Harsidhi (harsidhi.com) is an online store operated by Sadhana Craft LLP (“Harsidhi”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website, place an order or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It is published in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Orders: your name, billing and shipping address, phone number, email address and order details (products, quantities and any notes you add).
  • Account: if you create an account, your name, email address, password (stored in encrypted form) and saved addresses.
  • Payments: for UPI payments, the payment reference or transaction details we need to confirm your payment. The payment itself is completed inside your own UPI app, so we never see or store your UPI PIN, bank login or card details. For Cash on Delivery orders, we collect no payment information.
  • Forms: your name, email address and message when you use our contact form, request a brochure or sign up for our newsletter.
  • WhatsApp and phone: if you message or call us, your phone number, your WhatsApp display name and the content of the conversation.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, our servers and plugins record technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to run the site securely and to block spam and fraud.

2. Cookies

We use cookies (small files stored in your browser) that the website needs in order to work: keeping items in your cart, remembering that you are logged in, and completing checkout. These are set by WordPress and WooCommerce and expire when you close your browser, log out, or after a short period. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart, checkout and login may then stop working.

3. How we use your information

  • To process, pack, ship and deliver your orders, and to send order confirmations and delivery updates.
  • To confirm payments, process refunds, and handle replacements, returns and complaints.
  • To reply to your questions by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • To manage your account and order history.
  • To send newsletters, new arrivals and offers, only if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and spam, and improve our products and website.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, such as GST invoicing.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and only with:

  • Courier and logistics partners: your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver your order.
  • Payment providers: the UPI apps, banks and payment networks involved in completing your payment.
  • Service providers that run our website: our web hosting and email providers, which store and process data on our behalf.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): if you choose to chat with us using the WhatsApp button, your conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google’s servers, so your browser shares your IP address with Google when you visit.
  • Government and law enforcement: when required by law or court order, or to prevent fraud or protect the safety of our customers.
  • A successor business: if Harsidhi or Sadhana Craft LLP is merged, acquired or restructured, your data will remain protected under this policy.

5. How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require. Account details are kept while your account is active. Enquiry messages are kept as long as needed to respond and follow up. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, your data is deleted or anonymised, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

6. How we protect it

Our website uses HTTPS encryption, account passwords are stored in hashed form, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and provide support. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as required by law.

7. Your rights and choices

You can:

  • Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
  • Correct or update your details. Most of these you can edit yourself in My Account.
  • Ask us to delete your data, except where we must keep it by law (for example, invoices).
  • Withdraw your consent for newsletters or other optional uses at any time.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
  • Raise a complaint with us and, if you are not satisfied with our response, with the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Our website is meant for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Links to other websites

Our website links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X (Twitter) and other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies before sharing information with them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.
